Somavanshiya Kshatriya Kasar Shri Kalikadevi Sansthan is a proud community institution serving the Kasar community from its seat at 552, Tapkir Galli, Near Phadke Haud, Budhwar Peth, Pune. It stands as the spiritual and social backbone of the Somavanshiya Kshatriya Kasar community.
The Sansthan actively organizes religious festivals, cultural events, social welfare programs, and now — VivahSetu, a trusted matrimonial platform — all under the divine blessings of Shri Kalikadevi.
The Somavanshiya Kshatriya Kasar community traces its proud lineage to the Somavansha (Lunar Dynasty) of Kshatriya warriors. Known for their craftsmanship in bronze and bell metal, the Kasar community settled across Maharashtra preserving their ancient traditions.
The community settled in the historic Budhwar Peth area of Pune — a neighborhood with deep roots in Maharashtra's culture and trade. The Sansthan was established at 552, Tapkir Galli, near the iconic Phadke Haud, to serve as a community hub.
Somavanshiya Kshatriya Kasar Shri Kalikadevi Sansthan was formally established to preserve the community's religious and cultural traditions. Shri Kalikadevi was enshrined as the Kuldevata, uniting all members of the community under her divine blessings.
